Is Online PDF Redaction Safe?
Two separate questions matter: where your file goes, and whether the content is actually removed. RedactGo processes PDFs in your browser. It removes marked content from supported files instead of drawing a removable covering shape.
Basic metadata and embedded attachments are stripped on export. This is not automatic detection of every private detail. Review the whole document, including repeated information and unmarked annotations. Interactive forms, scripts, tagged structure and some image encodings are not supported.
The site can send a random completion identifier to count successful exports. Optional analytics use predefined actions only. Neither includes your filename, document text or marked coordinates. File processing continues if statistics are unavailable.

Is it really free to redact a PDF online?
Yes. Open, mark, apply and download without paying. RedactGo accepts PDFs up to 10 MB, has no daily file quota and adds no watermark.
Do I need an account?
No. The full redaction workflow is available without an account or email address. RedactGo does not provide a cloud document history.
Can I redact a PDF on my phone?
You can use the touch interface in a modern mobile browser. Switch between Draw box and Browse to avoid marking while scrolling. A smaller file may work better on a device with limited memory.
Will the hidden text still be copyable?
Successfully redacted text is removed from the exported PDF. Unmarked text remains copyable. Review the saved output for repeated details or any sensitive information you did not select.
Is there a file size limit?
The maximum file size is 10 MB (10,000,000 bytes). There is no daily quota. A paid large-file plan is not currently available.
Can I redact only part of a page?
Yes. Mark multiple regions on a page and leave the rest readable. Unsupported image formats are blocked if partial processing could remove more than you selected. You can also mark an entire page intentionally.
